Robert Tutterow

President

Robert Tutterow (retired Charlotte Fire Department), the only founder who is still active, is the current President.

David Duffy

Vice President

David Duffy, retired Deputy Chief with the Charlotte Fire Department, was the Chief Officer who represented the Charlotte Fire Department during all the symposiums held in Charlotte. He has maintained his interest and is currently the exhibits coordinator for all symposiums.

Sally Young

Treasurer/Registrar

Sally Young, retired Fire Planner for the Charlotte Fire Department, became involved in 1993. She has been the treasurer/registrar since 1996.

Don Collins

Board Member, Awards Program Director

Don Collins joined F.I.E.R.O. soon after it was founded and has been a board member for over 20 years. Don has been an integral part of the Fire Station Design Symposium: he has been a speaker at every Fire Station Design Symposium and has headed up the Awards competition from its inception.

Jeff Harkey

Board Member, Awards Juror

Jeff Harkey, with FireNews.net, has been a juror in the design awards competition for several years. The ultimate fire buff, Jeff became a board member in 2015.

Blake Redden

Board Member, Awards Juror

Blake Redden, a Battalion Chief with the Charlotte Fire Department, became involved with F.I.E.R.O. based on his experience with the Fire Station Design Symposium. Battalion Chief Redden has been involved since 2006.

Kevin Roche

Board Member

Kevin Roche retired after 24 years as a paper pusher for the Phoenix Fire Department in 2014. He worked mostly in Logistics while with Phoenix and is now a partner in FACETS Consulting.

Jessica Pickett

Executive Director

Jessica Pickett joined F.I.E.R.O. in January 2018 as the Marketing and Planning Director and then was named Executive Director in 2020. She is a former All Hazards Lieutenant with the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Department where she served for 10 years. She has a vast background in emergency services and has her own consulting company, RPM Solutions Group, Inc.

Marni Schmid

Grants Manager

Marni Schmid was responsible for marketing and planning activities for F.I.E.R.O. between 2009 and 2018 and is currently working with F.I.E.R.O. as a Grants Manager.

Rob Main

Staff Member/Photographer

Rob Main retired as a Fire Captain from the Honolulu Fire Department and has been involved with F.I.E.R.O. since 2015, presenting on various topics. In 2018, he began assisting with the chronicling of F.I.E.R.O. Symposium Events.
